Black Squirrel Farms and our affiliates collect and process the wild black walnuts that grow on our New York State land and those of other area growers.
Like fireflies, these tiny lights only glow in the dark, thanks to a photocell on the jar lid!
Jar lids include a hidden AAA rechargeable battery connected to a solar panel on the lid and fit a standard regular mouth canning jar (not included). The delicate glow of the lights in the jar is a gentle reminder to consider the habitat requirements of our native firefly population. Can be used indoors and outdoors and will turn on in any lighting conditions if the charging panel is covered. Let them bring you a smile when they turn on each evening.
Regular-mouth canning / mason jar not included if shipped. Optionally include a jar with with free onsite pickup.

Discover NYS black walnuts! Black Squirrel Farms is focused on black walnuts, North America’s native walnut. We grow, collect and process black walnuts at the first 20-C licensed black walnut processing facility in New York State. We manage a black walnut collection program open to anyone with access to trees and we seasonally offer tours of our site focused on the history and future of the black walnut tree, a unique North American renewable resource. We have shelled black walnuts and nutshell products for sale online or pickup by appointment. Contact us through our website, www.blacksquirrelfarms.net.
